More BIG News on Launch Day!
As if our October 1 rebrand to EveryPet wasn’t exciting enough, we had even more to celebrate! We’re thrilled to announce the return of SpayJax and Duval Cat Fix—two impactful FREE spay/neuter programs for Duval County residents, available exclusively at our Norwood location, and sponsored by the City of Jacksonville. 🥳
Through SpayJax, eligible residents can schedule free spay/neuter surgeries for up to six pet dogs or cats per household each month by meeting low-income guidelines or being enrolled in programs like SNAP, Medicaid, Healthy Kids, or Section 8/Public Housing.
For our feline friends, Duval Cat Fix offers free spay/neuter for both pet and community cats—no appointment needed for community cats! (Intake times: Mon–Fri, 9 AM –3 PM; Sat, 9 –10 AM; Sun, closed.) 🐈 These programs expand access across Duval County so that even more families can receive the help they need.
It’s another powerful step toward living our mission at EveryPet—ensuring every pet, in every family, gets the care they deserve. 🐾 |

| Sunday Spay Days Continue to Save Lives
Since our last newsletter, we’ve hosted two life-changing Sunday Spay Days, giving pets a healthier future while providing invaluable experience for aspiring veterinarians. 🩺 On September 14, 21 veterinary students from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine (Classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028) gained hands-on experience in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgical care. On October 5, 21 students (Classes of 2025–2028) returned for another influential day, performing surgeries on dogs and cats from partner organizations, further honing their skills under the guidance of Dr. Brian DiGangi, our Director of Professional Development, and other seasoned professionals. 💙 |

Events like these are more than just numbers—they are a critical resource for families in our community, helping pets stay healthy. |
|
| | Rosie’s Fund Matching Campaign Exceeds Goal With your investment in our work, we raised over $117,000 to support the continued spay and neuter of our community cats! 🥳 This amazing success means even more pets will receive the care they need and deserve—proof that when our community comes together, lives are changed. ✨ |

The Heart Behind Friends of Precious Paws When it comes to compassion for animals, Margaret and Travis Storey set a leading example. 🥰
The couple first connected with our organization nearly two years ago after touring our Norwood facility. “Walking through and just seeing all the cats in cages stacked two or three high, and seeing all the dogs in the kennel room—that’s what touched both of our hearts,” Travis recalled.
That experience, along with the moving stories shared in our newsletters, inspired the Storeys to deepen their involvement. “It’s not just the pets,” Travis said. “You’re helping families—seniors, kids, people who wouldn’t be able to keep their pets healthy or even keep them at all without this organization.” 🐾
For Margaret, animals have always been family. “I don’t have children. These are my children,” she shared, smiling as she mentioned her two five-year-old cats, Gracie and Sassy—both of whom, she admits, are “quite spoiled.”
Her compassion for animals began early. Margaret grew up with pets and went on to care for neighborhood cats as an adult. “I’m a firm believer that we need to control the population of homeless animals and take care of those that are injured or need help—especially for people who can’t afford it,” she said. 🫶
Last spring, the Storeys transformed that shared passion into something lasting by founding the Friends of Precious Paws (FOPP) program.
Created initially as a birthday gift from Travis to Margaret, FOPP has grown into a leadership giving program that helps sustain our mission year after year. ✨ “Margaret has pretty much whatever she wants,” Travis said with a smile. “So for her birthday, I donated in her honor—and suggested we start a leadership giving campaign to inspire others.”
Today, with more than 160 members and growing, Friends of Precious Paws continues to strengthen EveryPet’s foundation of care. “People should know this is a well-run organization,” Travis added. “When you give, your money goes to the right place—and it’s used for good.” ❤️ |

This past spring, we founded a group known as the Friends of Precious Paws—a special community of individuals who have generously given $1,000 or more to support our mission. 💙
These members demonstrate a true passion for making a difference in the lives of animals while celebrating the special bond pets share with their humans. Today, we want to extend a special thanks to our Best in Show members. Please join us in celebrating and thanking them! 👏👏👏 |
