August Newsletter

August 2026 EveryPet Newsletter

August is here, and summer is still in full swing. At EveryPet, that means busy clinics, plenty of volunteer opportunities, community cats needing care, and hundreds of pets counting on us to be there when their families need a little extra help. ❤️

Behind every service we provide is a bigger story: a family able to keep their pet at home, a senior dog getting the care they need, a community cat getting a second chance, or a pet getting lifesaving treatment through the Angel Fund. These moments may look different, but they all come back to the same thing: making veterinary care more accessible so pets and the people who love them can stay together.

In this issue, you’ll find meaningful ways to support animals in need, how we’ve been helping pave the road for future veterinarians, and people who have been making a paw-sitive impact.

Recent & Developments

Two Spay Days, Twice the Impact!

This month, we welcomed veterinary students from Lincoln Memorial University and the University of Florida for two days of hands-on learning.

Together, 44 future veterinarians helped provide essential spay and neuter care to 13 dogs and 38 cats from our rescue partners.

That means double the students, double the learning, and double the impact for our local community!

In the News: Supporting Jacksonville’s Community Cats

EveryPet was recently featured by First Coast News in a conversation about the need for continued funding for spay and neuter services for Jacksonville’s community cats.

We’re proud to partner with the City of Jacksonville to provide TNR services and help create a model for communities looking for effective, lifesaving solutions. We’re grateful to everyone advocating for these important services!

Getting Involved: How You Can Help

Pill Vial Donations

As part of EveryPet’s commitment to both pet safety and environmental responsibility, we gladly accept donations of child-resistant pill vials that can be safely reused in our clinics.

Your donation, which can be dropped off at either of our Cassat and Norwood clinics, will help reduce waste while supporting affordable veterinary care for pets in our community!

Before donating, please ensure vials are:
✔️ Completely empty and free of medication
✔️ Prescription labels fully removed
✔️ Intact with matching lids — no cracks, heavy staining, or strong odors

Every donated vial is thoroughly washed, sanitized, and fully dried by trained volunteers. We follow strict internal protocols to ensure each vial meets clinic standards before it is ever used for a patient. Any vials that do not meet safety criteria will be responsibly discarded.

Pet Food Bank August

No one should have to choose between feeding their pets and feeding their family.

That’s why our Pet Food Bank exists: to help qualifying families experiencing financial hardship keep their beloved pets healthy, nourished, and at home.

You can help, too! Donating through our Amazon Wishlist, dropping off pet food at one of our donation locations, or making a financial contribution directly supports the Pet Food Bank and makes an immediate impact for pets and the families who love them.

Volunteer Spotlight

Paul and Cathy August 2026 Volunteer

Paul & Cathy Waugh

When it comes to volunteer duos, it doesn’t get much better than Paul and Cathy Waugh.

Paul and Cathy are dependable volunteers for EveryPet’s largest annual fundraiser, formerly Whiskers and Wheels, having helped make the event a success. They have also generously donated their time to help seal envelopes for the Rosie’s Fundraiser mailer.

Pauul is also a weekly volunteer for the Pet Food Bank, which is held every Tuesday and Thursday, and is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.

The dedication Paul and Cathy display year after year is exactly why volunteers are the backbone of EveryPet and our mission of “Keeping Pets in the Home!”

And if you’re wondering what’s next for EveryPet’s largest annual fundraiser, formerly known as Whiskers and Wheels, stay tuned for a new name and exciting details!
