Jennifer Barker, Chief Executive Officer

Jennifer Barker is the Chief Executive Officer of EveryPet where she leads one of the nation’s largest safety-net veterinary programs dedicated to ending pet homelessness and making veterinary care accessible to all. With a background in pre-veterinary medicine and business development from the University of New Hampshire, Jennifer has built a career spanning hands-on veterinary work, hospital management, and nonprofit leadership.

She has managed general practice, emergency, and specialty referral hospitals, as well as large-scale nonprofit clinics treating tens of thousands of pets each year. Since joining EveryPet in 2014, Jennifer has overseen significant organizational growth, including the design and opening of a second full-service veterinary hospital and major expansion to the Norwood Spay/Neuter Center and Community Clinic.

Jennifer is passionate about the human-animal bond and committed to breaking down financial barriers that prevent families from caring for their pets. Beyond her professional work, she has volunteered with equine rescue farms, and supported one of Massachusetts’ oldest zoos.

A compassionate and results-driven leader, Jennifer continues to champion innovative programs that save lives, keep pets in loving homes, and strengthen the bond between people and animals.

Dr. Yvonne Kline, Medical Director

Dr. Yvonne Kline is the Chief Medical Officer at EveryPet. She graduated from the UC Davis College of Veterinary Medicine with both a DVM and a master’s degree, and she completed a rotating medical and surgical internship in New York with NYC Veterinary Specialists in 2012.

Dr. Kline has extensive experience in access to veterinary care and practical medical approaches, including general dentistry, medicine, and surgery. She is particularly passionate about helping veterinary students launch their careers in accessible and practical veterinary care, and she maintains a strong interest in emergency and urgent care. She also enjoys demonstrating the many benefits of telemedicine to fellow veterinarians as an accessible means of care for both pet owners and their animals.

Dr. Kline enjoys traveling, the beach, and all things water-related with her family. When indoors, she enjoys the company of her two delightfully unhinged cats.

Darby Stubberfield, Chief Development Officer

Darby brings over 25 years of experience in leadership positions in the non-profit arena, which brings a vast array of knowledge in fund development, board engagement, event management, and communications to her position as Chief Development Officer for EveryPet.  Before joining the team in December 2024, she served as Vice President of Development for over 16 years at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.  

Darby holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a BS in Business Administration from Jacksonville University.  Additionally, she earned the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) award in 2008.  

In her position as CDO, Darby leads the Development Team in individual, corporate, foundation, and event initiatives to connect, invite, and encourage people to support the mission of keeping every pet out of the shelter and in their loving home.

Darby appreciates the opportunity to work for an organization that leads the way nationally for non-profit animal welfare organizations. “I know how much my pets meant to me and my entire family growing up and how much they mean to us today. Jennifer Butler, Director of Operations

With over two decades of dedicated service in the veterinary field, Jen Butler brings a passion for animal welfare, experience, and unwavering compassion to her profession.  Her journey began in private practice, where she climbed the ranks from CSR to technician and eventually management. 

Later, she embraced the fast-paced realm of Emergency Medicine, refining her skills and cultivating a profound industry insight. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of North Florida, Jen navigated the landscape of veterinary practice management. 

Her expertise spans from team leadership to client care.

Motivated by a profound desire to make a meaningful impact on her community, patients, and colleagues, Jen embarked on a transformative path in 2021 by transitioning to non-profit medicine with EveryPet.

Her mission is resolute: to provide steadfast support to fellow professionals and the animals they serve.  Since joining the organization, she has earned the prestigious Veterinary Practice Manager Certification.

Recognizing the imperative to address the emotional challenges veterinary professionals face, Jen recently achieved certification as a Compassion Fatigue Professional.  This accomplishment underscores her unwavering commitment to the well-being of her team, acknowledging that compassion extends beyond patient care to those who provide it.

Ben Peek, Chief Financial Officer

Ben Peek is a seasoned finance professional with more than 20 years of experience, including a decade leading finance teams in the nonprofit sector. He has served in key leadership roles such as Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, where he developed a proven track record of strengthening organizational operations and driving financial sustainability.

Currently, Ben serves as Chief Financial Officer at EveryPet, a role he has held for over a year. In addition to overseeing finance and accounting functions, he provides leadership across human resources and IT. His expertise includes budget management, financial audits, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, an MBA, and is a licensed CPA. He is passionate about nonprofit work and is dedicated to using his skills to make a meaningful impact.

Veterinary Leadership

Dr. Brian DiGangi, Director of Professional Development

Dr. Brian DiGangi is the Director of Professional Development at EveryPet and is board-certified in both Canine and Feline Practice and Shelter Medicine Practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

After earning his DVM at the University of Florida in 2006, Dr. DiGangi completed a rotating internship, a residency in Shelter Animal Medicine, and received his MS in Veterinary Medical Sciences in 2010.

Dr. DiGangi has published peer-reviewed research on canine heartworm disease, veterinary field clinics, feline adoption, pregnancy detection and immunology and authored textbook chapters on sanitation and asepsis, infectious disease management, animal welfare, and animal relocation. He is the lead editor of the 2nd edition of Animal Behavior for Shelter Veterinarians and Staff and has served on the Board of Directors of the American Heartworm Society (2016-2022) and as President of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians (2015-2016).

Dr. DiGangi has taught shelter medicine topics to veterinary students since 2010 and served as the veterinary consultant for the ASPCA’s Animal Relocation and Placement team from 2017-2022 with special interests in canine heartworm disease and high-quality, high-volume, spay-neuter.

Dr. Jessica Bochte, DVM

Dr. Bochte earned her veterinary degree from Kansas State University and has been practicing for three years, all at EveryPet (formerly known as FCNMHP). She has a special passion for soft tissue and spay/neuter surgery, where she enjoys being in the OR and tackling challenging cases.

What she loves most about veterinary medicine is the variety each day brings and the puzzle-solving involved in caring for every patient.

At home, Dr. Bochte shares her life with Chester, a pit bull–dachshund mix she adopted after treating him as a patient in vet school, and Oliver, her cat adopted in college who enjoys napping in the sun. Outside of work, she loves spending time at the beach, reading, crocheting, and playing PC games.

Dr. Jennifer Broadhurst, DVM

Dr. Jennifer Broadhurst graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and completed a one-year Shelter Medicine Fellowship through the UC Davis/University of Wisconsin programs.

With 22 years of experience, she has worked as a shelter veterinarian in both private non-profit and municipal settings, specializing in high-quality, high-volume surgery, soft tissue procedures, and neonatal kitten care.

Passionate about helping animals in greatest need, Dr. Broadhurst also focuses on fostering programs and improving outcomes for shelter pets. At home, she and her family care for a lively menagerie of dogs, cats, koi fish, and a bearded dragon, frequently welcoming foster kittens. Outside the clinic, she enjoys family time and proudly supports her children’s adventures as a ninja and theater mom.

Dr. Mara Ingram, DVM

Dr. Ingram earned her veterinary degree from St. George’s University and has been practicing veterinary medicine for six years. She specializes in high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter (HVHQSN) and is passionate about the many facets of veterinary medicine, finding it impossible to choose just one reason she loves the profession.

At home, Dr. Ingram shares life with Ruby, her beloved fox terrier mix whom she adopted during her first year of vet school. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving, reading, and cooking.

Dr. Shawndulynn James, DVM

Dr. James began her veterinary journey early, attending Locust Trace Agriscience Center in Lexington, KY during high school. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Murray State University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University. Following graduation, she pursued advanced training with a one-year internship in Shelter Medicine through the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Her professional interests include shelter medicine and high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) surgery. She is passionate about expanding access to veterinary care and supporting underserved communities through practical, compassionate medicine.

Dr. James enjoys forming meaningful relationships with clients and treating every pet as if they were her own. She finds great fulfillment in helping animals in need, especially when resources are limited, and values the trust clients place in her and her team.

Outside of work, Dr. James enjoys exploring local events around Jacksonville, watching movies, and discovering new cuisines through restaurants and food trucks. She’s also developed a growing interest in exotic animal medicine and regularly attends reptile expos. At home, she shares her life with two cats adopted in high school, two playful (and slightly anxious) dogs, and a lively group of reptiles—including three snakes (all with names starting with the letter “Z”), a bearded dragon, and a crested gecko.

Dr. Suresh Kampalli, DVM

A native of India, Dr. Kampalli earned his veterinary degree from SV Veterinary University and became licensed to practice in the United States in 2011 through the AVMA’s ECFVG program. With nearly 15 years of experience—most of it at EveryPet —he has developed a special interest in challenging medical cases and non-routine soft tissue surgery, while embracing all aspects of veterinary care.

Dr. Kampalli values connecting with pet owners, listening to their concerns, and finding practical, cost-effective solutions. His holistic, individualized approach ensures every patient receives attentive care and every client enjoys a positive experience.

At home, Dr. Kampalli shares his life with Snowcone, a smart and well-spoiled Maltipoo rescued from neglect. Outside the clinic, he enjoys family time, coaching kids in science and sports, and gardening—a passion introduced to him by his wife.

Dr. Norma Perez, DVM

Dr. Perez graduated from UNAM in 2023 and has a deep passion for internal medicine, neurology, and feline care. She believes veterinary medicine is about advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves—a responsibility she embraces with dedication and fulfillment every day.

At home, Dr. Perez shares her life with two beloved cats: Cali, adopted in Mexico, and Pingu, rescued from ACPS. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time at the beach and creating content for her YouTube channel, combining her love for animals, storytelling, and the outdoors.

Dr. Aubrey Steele, DVM

Dr. Steele joined EveryPet, formerly known as First Coast No More Homeless Pets, in 2019, bringing with her more than 15 years of veterinary experience. A graduate with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, she has dedicated her career to serving the community through her expertise in surgery, internal medicine, and critical care.

Reflecting on her work, Dr. Steele shares: “I appreciate the magic of EveryPet. My role allows me to transform the lives of pets suffering from illness or injuries caused by accidents or abuse. Thanks to this incredible organization, I’ve renewed my commitment to be the very best advocate for those with no voice. There is nothing more meaningful than bringing relief to an animal in need while supporting the neighbors who rely on us for compassionate, affordable care.”

Dr. Jaime Wilson, DVM

Dr. Jaime Willson joined the EveryPet team in 2025, bringing over a decade of experience as a veterinarian in a large municipal animal shelter. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, where she also earned a Professional Certificate in Shelter Medicine. 

Her clinical interests center on shelter medicine, High-Quality, High-Volume Spay and Neuter (HQHVSN), senior pet medicine, and hospice care. She is particularly focused on surgical efficiency and ensuring comfort and quality of life for aging animals. 

Outside of the clinic, she is an avid sewist and shares her home with several senior rescue Chihuahuas.
